I wanted to share some cards before I left you for two weeks! I do have a Tutorial for TOMORROW - (8/4/08 )- already set up for a go. So that will be my official last posting until the 17th of August. I used some of my new stamp sets (and an older favorite - Always) as well as 3 of the new IN COLORS for this year. KIWI KISS, ROBINHOOD RED and PINK PIROUETTE. I am saving PACIFIC BLUE, TANGO TANGERINE and BAJA BREEZE for when I stamp next! The first three cards using the butterfly from DREAMS du JOUR set is several layers. The butterfly is punched and fit into the FRAMES WITH A FLOURISH square frame. Then cut out and adhered to white. Then adhered to KIWI KISS card stock. I tried with and without flash and I still can't get the true color... I am going to have to learn how to take real color pics! 
(color on this one is more true to life) This next card is using the CREAMY CARAMEL card base with KIWI KISS again in two layers. Then the SOFT SKY ('07 In Color) and ROBINHOOD RED - ALWAYS birdie punched out and clear embossed over. 
The foloowing card: KIWI KISS again, with ROBINHOOD RED layer- Using the new SCALLOP EDGE PUNCH! Makes it very easy! Black grosgrain ribbon and stamped using the HOSTESS set - HAPPINESS ALWAYS. 
Anf finally - DREAMS du JOUR again stamped in ROBINHOOD RED onto PINK PIROUETTE cardstock. Clear embossed over and cut out. The KIWI KISS layer is stamped with the polka dot background stamp and the bottom of the card is punched using the SCALLOP EDGE PUNCH. 
(not my favorite! - but used a different stamp from the DREAMS du JOUR set!) So that's what I have for today. I am tentatively setting the ALTERED JOURNAL worskhop date for the first SATURDAY of OCTOBER. I will finalize the schedule after the 17th. There will not be a blog posting on MONDAY for the tutorial... just a straight tute... so you will have to go directly to the TUTORIALS LINK at the top and access it that way. Also... for those who ordered a catalog from me... if I get them before I go on vacation... i will contact you for pick up before the 6th. If not... I will be handing them out starting on the 17th.
