Yesterday my new toys ARRIVED! Finally! My goodness. This was a true test in patience. But I also think things worked out with just the right timing. I got right to stampin'... The first card is using the new SIZZIX SU die - Bird w/ Leaves and Flower. You may remember a while back i passe on the good news... Stampin' Up Will be offering a selection of dies and a SU exclusive BIG SHOT! You will be able to see and purchase all the items starting the WINTER MINI Catalog period (starts Oct1). If you have not already joined my mailing list... email me today! Those who are on the list receive mini catalogs and other preview items in the mail. And as always... you will be able to view the current catalogs online thru this site and Stampinup.com! Again I use dthe KIWI KISS card stock and added pomagranate DSP as well as some BAJA BREEZE cardstock (layered behind the bird) and Natural Cardstock (using the new 1 3/4" circle punch! The sentiment is from a new hostess only level 1 set - BEST YET!
This second card is using the new RIDINGHOOD RED cardstock base and layered with Choc chip as well as BAJA BREEZE. The ribbon is RIDINGHOOD RED Taffeta ribbon and the brown ribbon is some retired from last year. (Gotto use those up!). The Hi is stamped using the KIWI KISS ink and a new set SAY IT WITH SCALLOPS (added some jewels!)! And you guessed it!- The piece is punched out using another new punch by SU - the SCALLOP SQUARE! In fact this set features all images that can be punched perfectly using the Scallop Square Punch!

That's what I have today! I will be stampin' with friends today and will likely have more to share after that! have a geat day! ALSO: here's a small tip... when you get a new stamp set and the images are more solid than etched out... try rubbing the entire dry stamp in the stampin' Scrub pad or run an eraser over it a little. this should allow you to ink the stamp more evenly. (like the stamp used above- hi).
