Good Morning! Yesterday's weather was a mess - icy roads... freezing rain, sleet, etc... Luckily the kids had off from school and my Jury Duty was cancelled. So my next day is not until the first Fri of March! WHOO HOO! My hubby has his Jury Duty for 5 days next week... Just makes me wonder how we both got picked in the same session??? Wondering what Monday's Tutorial is going to be? I will have a tutorial on the FISHY CARD from a couple days ago (Slide card). In addition.... Have you ever loved the look of the old hollowed out books? You can store treasure in it and hide it on your shelf? Well why not something similar to store cards for keeping or gift giving??? You can alter it for any size you like and it can be decorated as simple or complex as you wish! The one I made is rather simple and may not resemble an actual book... I plan on making another one soon to look more "book-like". However the directions of TREASURE KEEPER assembly is the same. here's a sneak peek... Make sure you check back on Monday under TUTORIALS to view it! (if you're new to my site... you need to register and log in to view tutorials at any time. It's FREE!) Also... I am holding a BLOG CONTEST. Choose any of my tutorials and make the project. Shoot me a photo (email address is

) to add to the gallery. The winner will WIN a BRAND NEW UNMOUNTED "OH SO LOVELY" Stamp set. This was a Hostess set on pg.18 of the FALL/WINTER 2007 Collections catalog. This contest will go until MARCH 12. (I am drawing a name on 3/13!) You may enter up to 1 time per day. All photos will be featured in the GALLERY under Contest Entry heading! Can't wait to see your creation! AND GOOD LUCK!!!!

I don't know how much time I will have for the rest of this week. I guess it all depends on the weather... If schools are cancelled due to ice... then I am free on Friday to stamp more. (since I am scheduled for jury duty on Fri - and if there is no school... then there's no court!) I also have a workshop planned for Fri night... and again that is hanging in the balance. I will call you personally if this effects you. In the meanwhile, I made a card using the slider technique. The stamp set is WHALE WISHES! really easy and uses a few layers. Dimensionals are in between the water layers and the fish can slide from side to side. Here's a little pic... the full size is in the February Gallery !
Anyway, gotto get to making dinner. If I'm not back on for the rest of the week... Have a great one!!!

Good Morning! We are getting ready for a little snow today... and a mix on Fri! I know my kids have their fingers VERY CROSSED... and SO DO I! (I have Jury Duty on Friday!!! - it's cancelled if schools are...) When i first purchased the BUILD-A-FLOWER acccent set (sticky card stock flower kit), I didn't know how to use them effectively. I thought they looked a little "bland" when I used them on my cards. So I set them aside for a long time. Recently, I have been challenging myself to use my "un-used" stuff! This was one on the top of my list. Turns out,.... I LOVE IT! I have used so many on my ATCs, cards and even scrap pages! I just needed to ALTER THEM A LITTLE! So I put up a tutorial this morning on ALTERING BLOOMS! Check it out! Here's a sneak peek!
A little while ago , I had a request to show more of the Baroque Motifs set. So this is what I used for my base.
I also made a second card using the set.
Well. I have to get kids ready for school now. Hope you enjoy this one. Have a great day and see you back here soon!

THE MINI TRINKET BOX! I used the DSP (Designer Series Paper) - since it is double sided and would match perfectly for box top and bottom! I cased it from the Spring/Summer 2008 Catalog on pg 147 as well as the upcoming Occasions Mini catalog 2008 on pg 7. Here's a photo of the finished project!
I welcome everyone to view my tutorials for free. All you need to do is register (just name and email addresses needed. you pick your own password/username!) and log in to view at any time! - This is just for me to keep track of the popular types of tutorials so i can add more of those kinds! I hope you all had a perfect weekend! We went to the Baltimore Science Museum on Saturday. BOY WAS IT CROWDED. They have on exhibit - BODY WORLDS 2 and the Brain... Our 3 Pound Gem. I didn't see it... I was told that it may not be appropriate for young children... but apparently it is amazing. If I was there alone, I would've tried for a look. The lines were out the door all the way to the inner harbor waters for most of the day! We got there early and were ready to leave by 3pm... but about 12 noon the placed was PACKED! Afterwards we walked through the Harbour Lights Shopping and Eatery area and then hung out at the Power Plant Barnes and Noble. For dinner we tried a new TAPAS place - LA TASCA. If you haven't tried TAPAS, it is a Spanish restaurant that serves food in appetizer size portions. Each dish ranges from $3.50 to about $7. The meatballs were the hit for the girls! I love all types of seafood. Was a bit pricey... but very delicious! The service was pretty fast! (and they take reservations... so no waiting!) - anyone with young kids can appreciate that! Have a great week. I hope to be back on here sometime early during the week. If you have any requests for tutorials or any comments, please leave them at the bottom (comments) or contact me! Until next time...HAPPY STAMPIN'!
