Stacie Jewelry - Always PDF Print E-mail
Written by Allison

For the last 2 months (almost) I have been in "ALWAYS" heaven.  if you have been keeping up with my blogs and gallery... you know that I can not get away from the AWESOME stamp set.

A couple weeks ago, my friend Stacie invited me to her studio to make my very own pendent necklace! I of course wanted to use THE stamp set! (Stacie makes fabulous silver jewelry - a very gifted artist! She has been extra supportive of my art and I am fortunate to call her a friend!). You can view and purchase her jewelry on Etsy... www.staciejewelry.etsy.com  .

She gave me the final project today and I HAD to share! I love it.

I can wear it together... or separate! Whatever I feel like!

If you like what you see here... visit her site! There's so much to look at!  She only uses the highest quality silver (clay) and really nice semi-precious jewels (like pearls, peridot, opal, etc...!)

THANK YOU, THANK YOU Stacie!

Just had to CASE a baby card! PDF Print E-mail
Written by Allison

I was surfing the web a bit last night and came across this card . Ok. Now you have not seen me put many other artist's pieces up here, but I just had to share this one by Lauren Meader. she is a designer for SCS and is extremely talented... and I just HAD TO CASE HER CARD! Mine is not nearly as cute as her's...but it was my first try.

THANK YOU Lauren for sharing!

Well... I need to devote today to finishing up preparations for the Friday night workshop. I have jury duty all day Fri... so i only have today. (I have been selected for Grand Jury Duty for 6 months starting tomorrow! It's not too bad... but does put a "cramp" in my schedule...LOL!)

 Enjoy the BABY ONESIE CARD!

Did I Win? PDF Print E-mail
Written by Allison

At the start of SAB I entered a little contest with my SU demo group to see who could place the first, over $500, order for SAB! I stayed up til 2am (12midnight MT) and placed my order at 2:15am! A few of you even added your orders to mine to boost my numbers...

I am disappointed to say the winner made her purchase before me...  by a mere 7 and 1/2 min... sniffle, sniffle... how she entered all that info in such a short time... who knows!  In addition, her order total outdid mine.  (the winner won a $35 merch credit from my upline! - that would've made for some great blog candy products!!!) I have to say, I think I was a little slow due to the impending coma I was trying to avoid!

At any rate: congratulations AMY!

I know some of you were wondering how I fared and I wanted to let you know the results... and  say "Thank you" for rooting me on and helping me with the contest!

Alright. just wanted to post that. I am busy, busy, busy today. I hope you have a great Stampin' Day!

Have you used FLOWER FUSION? PDF Print E-mail
Written by Allison

When I opened up my new box of goodies, one of the things I couldn't wait to use first was FLOWER FUSION - felt flowers. I have used other felt flowers in the past and compared to them, the SU ones are definitely much higher in quality. No frayed edging and perfectly cut. not to mention the over 200 flowers you get in one AWESOME tin! (imagine the altering you can do with this baby! - think tin handbags, card sets, etc....)

Image

Anyway, I have used these flowers in a number of cards that I am selling at the Muse and realized I did not add any photos to this site using them (partially because I have been on an "always" kick for a long time!)

So here's one using flower fusion and rub ons! (another thing I have not added here - but is a great product!) Soon I will add a tutorial on rub-ons and correcting mistakes using rub-ons. (since many of you chose the rub-ons as one of your free SAB products!) - note: the photo makes the flowers look shiny... but that is the flash from my camera. (again... photos "not" imitating life. I need to take a class!)

Image

If you have made any creations using these or any other new products and would like to share your insight and experience on it, please comment! (and send me a photo - I'd love to put it up in the gallery!)

Anyway, the UPS man should be here today with some stuff I ordered last week for a workshop I am doing this weekend (Thanks Karen!). I expected it here already, but no brown truck yet... (the rest of the SU stuff ordered last week will be arriving this Friday!) So if I am not posting a lot for the next few days, you will know that I am busy preparing a workshop for ten on Friday evening!  I have to cut and prepare enough supplies for 126 cards!

I am almost set on a date and time for the Cards for FMH. Again, if you are interested in joining in (or sending in cards), let me know! I just need to confirm a few things and info on the event will be forthcoming!

Alright,... going to look outside my door again...

I only have 20 min til I have to go pick up children from schools!

If only the world spun on my clock! LOL!

6 more weeks of WINTER! PDF Print E-mail
Written by Allison

Looks like Phil saw his shadow yesterday... and the  blue bird thing was way off! He saw his shadow despite the cloudy day.  The news this morning showed a lot of snowy weather out west for today.  Here in MD we really haven't had a huge snow yet this season. But still, I can't wait til spring!

I was able to stamp a bit this morning. I am making some kits for sale at the Muse and used my retired set, "Small Sayings." If you like the design, you can easily substitute another stamp set in it's place. My favorite is "Sweet Serendipity" on pg 147. In fact, I will be offering the STAMP-A-STACK in June using that set.

here's a close up photo of the card.

Well, gotto go and work on my ATC swap. Join in the fun!
