When you receive your SU Stamp set, you will notice that the stamps come unmounted.

It is important to count out your wood blocks and make sure everything is there.

I always stick my Stamp set name label to the outside of the plastic case .

Second, I stick all my clear labels on each block. Pay attention to which sticker will fit on which block.

Next, Trim your stamps using the CRAFT and RUBBER Scissors. (I have to recommend this tool for cutting rubber. It cuts through like butter!) Trim each image as close as you can using only STRAIGHT cuts. This ensures cuts straight through the rubber and foam!

If you are trimming a single line or a mini word, make sure you trim at width at least 1/4".

Then remove the adhesive backing and adhere to block.

There you go! A new set to play around with!!!

Some tips:

Keep your scissors clean of gooey gunk simply by wiping it down after use with nail polish remover, or alcohol.

All the stamp set sin the HOLIDAY MINI are die cut! So you don't have to cut any rubber!

Some stamps come with picture images as well as wording under or over them. Sometimes I like to cut the words and mount them on the side of the wood block so I can use the words as a separate stamp! MIX and MATCH!

Many thanks for this tip. As a newbie, this is really helpful. Someone had told me that I had to cut in between each little word, character. I figured I would be at it forever. In addition, the scissors you used, are they the scissors from the starter kit at Stampin Up?

Thanks.

Thanks for your comment Liddy.

The scissors (Craft and Rubber Scissors) are part of the kit. You can also order the scissors individually from the current Idea Book and Catalog.
They retail for: 19.95 + shipping and tax. Please feel free to contact me if you wish to purchase, sign up for a Demo Starter Kit or just have more questions!
