Sticky Note Holder with Matching RSVP Pen! supplies: DSP, RSVP pen, ribbon, paper trimmer with scorer, Cardboard sheet - I use the cardboard that SU sends with the DSP or with the Simply Scrappin' Kits - (3"x 8"), magnets, sticky note pad (post it notes 3x3" square), embellishments, sticky strip, adhesive. I used the cardboard white piece that you get with the SU DSP paper. Score the cardboard at 2 3/4", 3 1/4", 6 1/4" & 6 3/4" (this is assuming you are using a 3x3" square pad of sticky notes that is less than 1/2" thick). Fold and Crease well at score marks.
cut a strip of DSP 3" wide. add sticky strip to edge of cardboard. I am covering the SU wording that is on the cardboard (so I don't confuse you). line up one edge of the DSP to the sticky stripped end and fold and crease at the score marks. folding... add adhesive to the other end. cut off the piece that hangs over the cardboard. (I am doing this so that the holder folds neatly...) folded holder add adhesive to the inner parts. punch two holes at the top panel of the holder. Slip ribbon thru each hole and scotch tape down. add adhesive to the back of the post it notes pad. and stick it into the holder
Add your magnets (I like the magnetic snaps) embellish as desired. FOR THE PEN: unscrew the top of the RSVP pen. using the remaining scrap of DSP paper from the holder... cut a piece 3 1/2" x 2 1/2". using a small tube like cylinder (I used a screwdriver), roll the paper around. Roll so that it goes around at least 2x. trim off leaving about a 7/8" tube. insert into the pen. screw the back of the pen back on. All done! Here's the finished Sticky Note Holder and Matching RSVP Pen!
