Do you often find that adding lots of layers to your cards weighs them down and can sometimes take awayf from your final project? Or Do you sometimes fell like you have everything that DOES NOT coordinate with your card? Why not make the illusion of designer paper without the weight and make it perfectly coordinate? Here's one for FAUX Designer Paper!
supplies needed: card base (here elegant Eggplant color), scrap paper, stamp sets, Vanilla or white craft ink pad, darker color ink pad (here Purely Pomegranate) in either classic ink or craft ink, brayer.
first tear your scrap paper by hand line up your torn paper on your card base.
ink your brayer in white or vanilla craft ink. (I used vanilla here)
ink your card stock with brayer. reload your vanilla ink as necessary.
here's what it looks like at this step.
now take another torn scrap piece and place it on top of the white area... overlapping slightly to the left (about 1/2" into the white.
after cleaning your brayer, ink it with the darker ink.
ink the exposed area of your cardbase. let dry or use heat tool to dry quickly. here's what it looks like at this step.
match your torn paper exactly back onto the card (as if you never took it off after adding the dark ink). then ink your rubber stamp with the white ink and stamp it onto the Dark ( Pomegranate) area .
here's what this step looks like
add your embellishments and you're done! 2nd option: if you don't have a brayer, use a sponge and ink to make a vellum-y look. softer.
