File Folder Card by Allison Lee
supplies needed: one- 8 &1/2" x 5 &1/2" Card Stock for Folder piece (here Wild Wasabi) one- 5" x 3 &3/4" card stock for insert piece (here Close to Cocoa) one- 4 &3/4" x 3 &1/2" cardstock for insert piece (here Whisper White) one- 3 &1/2 x 5 &1/4 piece of Designer Paper (here Apple Cider D.S. Paper) Corner Rounder Punch, Tab Punch Scrap Pieces for embellishments, Ribbon (here Choc. Chip Tafetta) Ink Pads, Stamp Set (True Friend Set here), Adhesive, 12inch Paper trimmer with scorer
step 1. score Folder Piece (wild wasabi) at 4 &1/4". Fold at score mark (in half) and crease.
step 2. trim off 1/2" off of just one side.
step 3. Measuring another 1/2" in, line up your trimmer arrow to 3 & 3/4" marking and cut down from there. Trim the "rectangle" out with scissors.
step 4. Like step 3 take your designer paper measuring at 1/2" and (working vertically) place your trimmer arrow at the 3 & 1/4" mark and cut down. Use your scissors again to cut out the rectangle.
step 5. This is what your folder should look like.
step 6. Using your corner rounder punch, round all the corners of the folder base and along all the top corners of the designer paper. NOTE: when rounding the "inner" corner, you will need to take off your punch "guard" simply by prying the piece off. You will not be able to round the inner corner without doing this.
step 7. round all corners of both insert pieces.
step 8. stamp and adhere together.
step 9. Using tab punch, punch out a tab using your scrap paper. step 10. Assemble the tab to card at the right most side of the insert. (I used brads to fasten. You can use adhesive.. or anything else you wish to use!)
step 11. Embellish the front of the folder. (I used ribbon and punched out more stamped images). step 12. VOILA! There you have your FILE FOLDER CARD!
