Here's one for the GATE FOLD CARD! adapted from a tutorial by leslierich supplies needed: 5.5"x12" designer double sided paper (used BERRY BLISS here), paper trimmer with scoring blade, 1/16" hole punch, scraps of cardstock for layers, sticky strip, ink pads, stamp set (used BURSTING WITH JOY here), paper snips, scallop scissors (optional), hodgepodge hardware (for brads and those things that hold photos into picture frames... I think they are called photo turns... if you know, please tell me!), other embellishments as desired! first score the designer paper at 2", 4", 8" and 10" fold as shown (crease well)
trim off 3/4" off of each side.
here's how it looks with the 3/4" taken off.
take two strips of cardstock (here TAKEN WITH TEAL) 5.5" x 1.75" and make straight lines in pencilfrom top to bottom at around the 1/4" - 1/2" mark. Then use your scallop scissors to make a scallopped edge along that line. (this step is optional and is not needed to compete a gate fold card). here's an image using scallop scissors.
make your main image. Here I used the Bursting with Joy set (love stamp) and made a second heart in purely pomegranate. Then cut that out and added it with dimensionals on the chocolate chip color heart. Then layered with Taken with Teal square and then a Choc. chip scallopped square. Here I added some brads at the bottom of each pane. I added them before sticking the teal panels on... so you do not see the prongs.
assemble your card. I used the strips behind each "door" panel. Then center your stamped image.
apply sticky strip ONLY to the LEFT SIDE BACK OF THE IMAGE. You will only adhere the LEFT side.
adhere to card... ONLY ON LEFT SIDE. Sticky strip works best for PERMANENT adhesion.
line inside fo card as desired.
while holding the folded card down, determine where you want to place the "photo turn". This will hold the right side of your image and hold the card together. Use your hole punch to punch hole and add the "photo turn". finished CARD!
