This is a tutorial on GLASSY GLAZE ENAMEL (heat embossing clear thick powder). At each "finished" step, it makes for a beautiful effect.

supplies needed: small square (about 2.5") whisper white cardstock,  stamps, ink pads, versamark ink (not shown), heat tool, glassy glaze enamel, tweezers (optional), parchment paper (opt.).

stamp image desired. Then coat the cardstock using versamark directly to paper. Here is where I used the parchment under my cardstock so I didn't get my work surface all messy-sticky.

coat the stick versamark ink with GLASSY GLAZE ENAMEL (heat embossing powder). You can use the tweezers to hold the cardstock so you do not burn your fingers. Here I just laid it down and I didn't need to hold it.

warm up you heat tool (turn it on and hold up to get hot) and then heat the glaze. It will melt onto the paper.

after the first time around (versa and glaze) it will have a dimpled surface. You can stop here and use it to embellish your card.

a second coat of versamark and glaze will produce a glass effect (smooth and clear) Again you can stop here and use as is.

A third coat will produce an even thicker layer. You need this third coat for the cracked glass technique.

allow the glaze to fully cool. (You can even put it in your fridge or freezer for a few min. I did not have to... I just let it cook down for about 10 min. And then carefully CRACK it at different parts of the cardstock. NO TWO will be alike!

You can then use it to embellish your card! Beautiful!

check out the next tutorial (window box tutorial) which uses this card and adds an accent around it!
