PERFECT Scalloped Edges! PDF Print E-mail
Written by Allison

Have you ever wondered how to make those PERFECT Scalloped Edges? No matter how hard you try with the Scalloping Shears (scissors) you could never get the perfect straight cut or perfect looking piece!

Wonder no longer!

Here's a quick and easy tutorial to learn just that!

SUPPLIES YOU WILL NEED - 1 piece of paper or cardstock with a straight edge, and a 3/16" corner rounder punch (found on pg 180 in the new Spring/Summer 2008 catty) .

first start out by taking off the guard from the punch.

Then flip the punch over and line it up with the paper. You will see a little "v" shaped piece at the bottom of the punch hole. (it is tiny). You need to line up the paper flat and directly leaning on that "v".

once you punch the paper should look like this.

now repeat, moving along the edge. You will be able to see the edge of the last scallop. Just line the next scallop to that edge.

go all the way across. The finished piece will look like this. Now, you may need to try this a few times. But don't give up! This technique brings a lot of wow with very little effort to your cards and scrap pages. Adds lots os dimension.

Hope you enjoyed this short one!
