Here's a tutorial for a fun POP-TOP CAN! I don't have a supplies list PHOTO - somehow got lost in my computer! But I will list supplies and then move on to the steps. Suppplies needed for a 14.5 ounce can size... you will have to adjust if you are using a different size. one- 14.5 oz emptied pop top can **You must open the can from the bottom. Use a can opener that makes non sharp edges. Leave the pop-top on top in tact! 4.25"x9.25" piece of designer paper (or card stock that you have stamped on!) here I used DASHING 2 sided paper. two- 2.5" circles (Colluzle cutting systems works great!) Does not have to be exactly the same. sticky strip double sided tape, paper snips, 3/4" circle punch, Crystal Effects, embellishments of choice. apply Sticky Strip to 3 edges of the 4.25"x9.25" piece. Then peel off red part to expose double sided stickiness.
aligning the one edge to the seam of the can, adhere piece to can. roll the paper around the can matching edges up perfectly and then add one piece of sticky strip to the end. Firmly seal the paper down.
take one- 2.5" circle and punch a 3/4" hole about 1/2" from the edge.
using paper snips, snip away at the circle making a "U" shape cut out. carefully lift the pop-top thing and wedge the paper into the spot. DO NOT open the pop top. Just lift enough to slide the paper under it. decorate with embellishments. (here I used sticky strip with micro glass beads and ribbon and stmaped images...)
insert your surprise gift at this time. Making sure the top of the gift (if there is a top and bottom) is upside down. since it will be opened from the opther end.
apply crystal effects glue around the edge of the bottom of the can.
match the bottom to the can and hold for a minute or 2 until the glue dries. using second 2.5" circle, you can stick it to the bottom (use sticky strip) and stamp "handmade by or just decorate!
You are finished! A perfectly CUTE surprise gift!
All you have to do is POP the TOP!
